When I try to install beta 2 I get during the installation the following error message: Hub Transport Role Failed Error: Property IsHubTransportServer cannot be set on this object because it requires object to have version 0.1 (8.0.535.0) or later. Current object verison is 0.0 (6.5.6500.0). My question is as follow, what object is this error referring to and even more important how can I upgrade to the required version. The server I'm installing the beta on is a W2K3 R2. Thanks, jemmie

Version 6.5 is the build number of Exchange Server 2003, are you installing Exchange 2007 into an existing 2003 org?

Interesting, I had the same message today and yes I was installing into an existing Exchange 2003 org (in a test lab) but I rebooted the server and it all worked fine. I went back into "Add remove programs" and started Exchange setup again and it finished perfectly. A

When installing Exchange Server 2007 Beta 2 both a send connector as well as a receive connector is created and configured. The receive connector doesn't allow anonymous connections by default, so unless you have deployed an Edge server in your DMZ, you won't be able to receive mail from the Internet. In order to fix this open the Exchange Management Shell (EMS) and type: Set-ReceiveConnector "Default <insert servername>" -PermissionGroups:"ExchangeUsers, ExchangeServers, ExchangeLegacyServers, AnonymousUsers" Can you send mail using OWA instead of the Outlook MAPI client?

I install 2007 after I deinstall a exchange 2003. It seems that some traces of the 2003 are left after this. After I install 2003 again, whith errors, and manually deinstall it I could install 2007. thanks, jemmiw
