HI,

I have a problem that is stumping me and I hope someone can offer some insight.

I have 2007 running on windows 2003 in an SCC. It just has the 1 storage group and database. I am trying to create a second mailbox database. Everytime i do I get the error 'This configuration is invalid for ClusterServerAttributes. Reason: Cluster mailbox server not found.'

I have tied creating the database from the emc and from powershell. I have created another storage group and tried creating it in there as well. Still no joy. I have tried both cluster nodes and also tried with various cluster resources online\offline. Nothing seems to be working. Anyone got any ideas of where i can go from here.

Hi Johan,

Sorry, I posted in frustration yesterday so over looked some details. I am running Exchange 2007 SP1. Version is saying 8.1 (Build 240.6).

Also the only thing the event log reports when trying to create the mailbox is -

Watson report about to be sent to dw20.exe for process id: 8956, with parameters: E12, c-RTL-AMD64, 08.01.0240.006, mmc, M.E.C.Replay, M.E.C.R.ClusteredServerAttributes.Init, M.E.C.Replay.ClusServerAttribConfigException, 729f, 08.01.0240.005. ErrorReportingEnabled: False

I have just got it fixed. It didnt like having 2 network name resources in the same cluster resource group I removed 1 of the network name and associated ip resource into a different group and it now creates mailbox databases with out a problem.
