I know it's been covered here before, but I thought i'd start a new thread. I have done everything by the book...that is, imported the SSL than corresponds to the FQDN of the send connectors on the hubs. The output from the PS is: [PS] C:\>Get-ExchangeCertificate -DomainName mail.domain.com Thumbprint Services Subject ---------- -------- ------- 8D5F7804C8839B94E78801FAFF494B7F720D0659 S.... CN=mail.domain.co... All right by rights...however I am still getting this error on the HUB servers. Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchangeTransport Event Category: TransportService Event ID: 12014 Date: 3/04/2007 Time: 11:57:41 PM User: N/A Computer: EXFE04 Description: Microsoft Exchange couldn't find a certificate that contains the domain name mail.domain.com in the personal store on the local computer. Therefore, it is unable to offer the STARTTLS SMTP verb for any connector with a FQDN parameter of mail.yourexchange.com.au. Verify the connector configuration and the installed certificates to make sure that there is a certificate with a domain name for every connector FQDN Its popping up every 30 minutes or so. Any ideas not covered by the KB's and forum posts? Thanks Anthony

There is a mismatch on the FQDN. (yourdomain.com.au and mail.domain.com). refer to the MS KB 555855 HTH /BC

I am having the same problem with one of my clients. They purchased a new certificate from Entrust and deleted the original certificate from the Exchange server (this is a single server holding all roles except for Edge transport of course!). Everything is working fine, even mail flow but they are constantly receiving this error. The new certificate does NOT contain the FQDN that the error message generates as the error is looking for the internal name of the server and we only have external FQDNs on the certificate. 1. How can I get this sorted out? 2. Can i use the New-ExchangeCertificate CMDLet to actually create (not generate a request) a new self-signed certificate to use only for SMTP? Thanks in advance
