I am getting these Event ID's in the log, event ID 7004 reads: This is an SMTP protocol error log for virtual server error for ID 1,connection #1070. The remote host "63.238.11.103", responded to the SMTP command xexch50 2352 2 This will probably cause the connection to fail.

ID 7002 reads: This is an SMTP protocol warning log for virtual server ID 1, connection #1060 The remote host 65.168.34.131, responded to the SMTP command "rcpt" with "451 Requested action aborted:local error in processing". The full command sent was RCPT To:<email address>" This may cause the connection to fail.

According to MS they say to upgrade the drivers, has anyone seen this before and do you agree with MS? Or am I looking at a different problem?

Thanks

What drivers are they telling you to upgrade, and is that all they told you?

Here is what MS says according their support:

Possible causes for this event include faulty network card drivers and network cards that are configured incorrectly.

Note You will see Event 7004 only if you turn up diagnostic logging on the MSExchangeTransport event source to Medium or higher.

User Action
To resolve this error, try one or more of the following:

Make sure that the latest network card drivers and firmware are installed.

Run any network diagnostics software that was supplied with the network cards to verify that the network cards are functioning correctly.

If the network cards are configured to automatically detect the speed of the connected network, change the configuration to use a specific speed setting.

In next few days I will see the results of my work.
