I noticed that online defragmentation has not been working correctly on one of our stores.  Online defrag has been working successfully on the other three stores on our Exchange 2000 server.  The following error below is what I am receiving:  I'm not finding anything on the Internet for this error.....

There can be various reasons which generate the event 705 and the exact root can be known by the err_no displaying in the error code. In order to solve this error, you may follow the following methods:

1. You should view the application event log for hardware, controllers and file system related concerns and take the corresponding action.
2. If the Exchange database exists in running state, you can move the mailboxes to another store by using the built in utilities.
3. If the database is not running, you should immediately restore it from an online backup (if available). When there is no backup, you need to repair the corrupted database by using hard repair i.e. running eseutil /p and isinteg -fix commands to repair it.

If none of the above said methods work, you are suggested to use a third-party Exchange Server recovery tool such as: http://tinyurl.com/ne4q6lb

This software repairs and retrieves the data from a corrupted or damaged Exchange database by running advanced scanning and repair algorithms.
