One of our Exchange 2000 servers has a queue with 69 messages stuck totalling 13 MB. The path to the queue is Protocols>SMTP>Default STMP Virtual Server>Queues>Bear.com (local delievery). The connection is Active for this queue. I tried forcing a reconnection and the queue remains. I did some research but not I am not clear on three issues: 1. Are these messages destined for local users on the server in question (I would presume so judging from the queue name)? 2. How does one free them? In the 5.5 environment we usually stop and start the MTA. In the 2000 environment is this the best course of action to take? 3. What generally causes this local delievery problem?
