I currently have an exchange 2000 server installed in a 2003 domain. We have purchased new hardware and would like to move the exchange server to the new hardware. I was going to install the second exchange server in tandom for a day and then move mailboxes over to it. Then I could remove the original exchange server. The question I have is do I need to run the ADPrep before installing new new exchange server?

Many Thanks

It shouldn't be needed if you install it in the same domain. This is only needed if you've got a forest and domain where Exchange has never been deployed to.
