Hey Guys,

We're running Exchange 2007 here, and I've been asked to give all of our users the ability to encrypt their email when sending out to the web via Outlook2003/2007.

Is there any documentation on the best way to accomplish this?

Thanks,
Matt

u can use personal certificates for encryption and didgital signing. it can be done through outlook.
i think it's not that hard as long as u and the other recipient trust each others certificates.

I take it that you understand that you cannot just encrypt to the whole world.

You need to be able to trust each other's certificates if you go down the SMIME route.

There are other options but everything requires share private keys, ect.

You can also encrypt just the transport part (ie SMTP via TLS) to a partner...this way your e-mail is encrypted over the internet but is unencrypted when it hits your partner's e-mail server.

i think the question was about to encrypt the contents itself and SMIME is a very easy and no cost solution as long as u trust certificates.
if u want a very fast and easy solution, u can just go and buy softwares that will work as add in for outlook and u just press a button (all based on BGP basics) and of course it requires the other part has the same software.
