I have everything moved to the 2010 servers. We use send connectors to a smart host. If I remove the send connector on the 2007 HT/CAS server mail flow stops. Looking at Mail headers nothing should be routing through the 2007 server anymore. Is there something I am missing on how to disable this 2007 server?

As you have completed all the moves.

In the Exchange 2007 Send Connector add Exchange 2010 as the source server and remove 2007 Send Connector.
On Exchange 2010 Send Connector add the Smart Host and later remove the 2007 Send connector.

Yes I did that. I made the mistake of forgetting that the 2007 is part of the 2010 infrastructure so it was sharing the same send connector. When I disabled it on the 2007 server it of course disabled it on the 2010 server. Duhhh!

I was just thinking I needed to remove it from the 2007 server before taking it down. Thanks for you help!
