I have been working with someone who is telling me that in order to run these two servers in coexistence mode, that we need to have two EXTERNAL ip addresses? Is this correct?

As I understand it, we can have the OWA page on the 2010 server, and it can communicate on the back end to get to the 2003 server mailboxes. Just want to verify that I'm correct before I fire someone and get someone who knows what they are doing.

2010 CAS will proxy EAS, but for OWA it does a redirect. In general, that is going to be another IP.
