Hello all,

I have setup Exchange 2013 in coexistence mode, everything work fine when the servers are in the same physical network but because the new server will be on a different location (we are moving office) I need to connect the 2 server through vpn but when I did I can't send or receive mail on a 2013 mailbox.

I set the vpn connection in a way that will have the same ip of the usual network.

What I'm doing wrong? How can I check the connectivity between the two servers to understand more about the issue?

Thanks,

Reno

Hi,

The first things to examine are the FQDNs assighed (if any) on the
Receive Connectors. It's important that those FQDNs (and also the
simple host names) are present as SPNs on the AD computer object.

You can use "setspn -L <server-name>" to see what SPNs are assigned.

If you've supplied a FQDN on the default receove connector on the 2013
server you'll want to see that appear as these SPNs on the AD server
object:
SMTP/host
SMTPSVC/host.domain.tld

Or, you may also refer to the link mentioned below-
