Hi all,

I have this problem with the log files from the exchange server. Running on Windows 2000 server, with exchange 2000.

Every Sunday, something kicks of in the early hours, that generates loads of logs, 1 or 2 every minute. This happens until the server runs out of disk space, and then crashes the information store. Generally I am safe to delete the logs on a Monday morning, and restart the information store service. However I always check the logs have been applied before, as once they had not been, and the db was in a dirty shutdown state.

I am going to add extra HD space, but I think this may still have the same problem. Anyone know what this might be, how I can stop this, as obviously this causes problems over the weekend, and Monday morning of all times!

Thanks in advance

Yoda

Make sure your anti-virus software is configured correctly:

I agree with Mark.
Make sure that you do not have a file level AV scan running that is scanning the EXCHSRVR folder(s) and sub-folders.
