I am trying to find a way to have the domain automatically entered into the username field when signing into our mail server via webmail. In the standard login fields Exchange requests 2 things. User name and password. For example: In order to login to our server, you need a domain name in front of the user name.

i.e.
username: mymailserver\johndoe
password: yaddayadda

Unfortunately when I go to login the user name field is blank - - I want it to work so that when you go to login "mymailserver\" is automatically filled into the user name field.

Is there any way to setup Exchange in this manner?

Thanks!

You can setup like i did. Turn on Form based auth. and use the login page.. edit the page where it asks for "domain/user" i put "email address" it makes it easier for the users to understand how to login. exchange will take "user@domain.com" as opposed to "domain\user"
like below:

Start the Exchange System Manager (ESM) utility (click Start, Programs, Microsoft Exchange, System Manager).
Navigate to the OWA server (Administrator Groups, <Administrative group name>, Servers, <Server name>).
Expand Protocols and expand HTTP.
Right-click the HTTP virtual server and click Properties.
Click the Settings tab of the displayed dialog box.
Select the "Enable Forms Based Authentication" check box and click OK.
