The exchange server (2003, SP1) had crashed last week. But just before the crash I could take backup of the mail store.
Now I have setup a new exchange server (2003, sp2) with different settings like different organization, users etc. However I want to recover some of the old user’s mailboxes from the old store and merge the contents to the new mailbox. Are there any possibilities to do so?
Please help.
Regards
vik

hi mate,

Database backup are hard coded with organization and site name that is why you can't restore the database on the different org exchange server.

Either you need to rebuild as like your old server with same org name and site name
or else create a recovery server and take those mail into pst (note it will loose single instance)
