I have been working on a migration from one Exchange 2003 Server to a new Exchange 2003 Server.  Very small environment, about 12 mailboxes and a shared calender as being the only public folder.

I have moved all the mailboxes and enabled smtp routing to the new server.  It has been running just fine for weeks now and have no complaints from the end users.

I have been having problems getting system and public folders to sync.  I need to decommision the old exchange server as the client does not want to spend anymore time trying to solve a replication problem of the public folders.

Since where moving away from the older server anyways is there a way that I can just skip replication all together and just move forward to using the new server and accept that the data from the old server public folders can be a loss?

Any advice please would be appreciated.  I have spent a lot of time reading articles on this replication issue and just can't seem to solve it!
