I cannot perform a complete tape backup, using BackUp Exec without getting an error message- "Exchange Information Store....... Access Denied to Directory"
I'm running Exchange 5.5, on Win NT 4 (with SP6)
The backup program I use is BACKUP EXEC by Veritas, ver 7.3 I can successfully backup ANY folder on either of the 2 hard drives on this computer, with the exception of the MICROSOFT EXCHANGE INFORMATION STORE. DE-selecting it will let me complete the backup of all the other folders without problem. Only when it's selected do I get the Access Denied error message in the log file of BACKUP EXEC. What to do? All ideas and comments appreciated.

Try setting the backup exec services to local system account.

If not, set them to the Exchange Admin account.
