Hi all,

I am currently "attempting" to set up a lab on the first ladder of an E2K roll out.

My company is technically its own isp and only leases the Line from a Cable Co.

My problem is this :

The MX record is located on a server which is running netscape messenger (This is how the existing email is setup to run.)

I have set up a W2K child domain with the MX record of this server set up within this child domains DC DNS.

I have also set up the Exchange 2000 box within this child domain.

When I attempt to send mail internally there are no problems, however when I send them externally they sit in the SMTP queue (On my new E2k Box) until the NDR returns with this error :

"The remote server did not respond to a connection atempt"

If any one has any input or ideas (However simple) I would be very pleased to hear from you.
