Hi to all I have an Exchange Server 2000 installation where the boot disk crashed. Now I have all the Exchsrv folder and I would like to extract the .pst files for each user. Is it possible? I have just 20 users. I know that it exists a tool named Exchange Server Recovery but I don't want to pay 800$...
Thanks,
Stefano,

Hello Stefano,

Sorry to say but you need to invest in a 3rd party utility such as:

Ontrack's PowerControls

Aelita'sRecovery Manager

None of these products are in evaluation... How can I test if they work with my files?
Thanks,
Stefano.

Exchange server recovery lets you recover notes, tasks, contacts and appointments etc from MS-exchange server in addition to conversion of .edb and .stm into .pst format.
So it would be the one of the best available option for you.
Recovery from exchange server is found compatible with Windows OS which includes windows 98, ME, NT to the latest XP & windows vista and  is supported by MS-exchange server 2002, 2003 etc.

Enstella Exchange Recovery Software is an most helpful tool for converting EDB to PST. It's fastly read exchange database (.edb file) and extract every bit of information from corrupt EDB file to PST file.
Get them an evaluation version tool from http://www.enstella.com/repair-exchange-database.html and fully scan corrupted EDB file and list the all mailboxes in a tree like view, You can expand every user mailbox and see all the emails and all its related items.

I hope it will help you definitely..
Best of Luck..

If this is issue is not yet resolved, you can try ExMerge. Its a microsoft utility and can be downloaded from the internet. But you will have to install exchange, mount the database and then extract the PST out of it. Only problem is, each PST can be a maximum of 2 GB.

Hi,
You should try PST Walker. It's a handy tool for extracting such data. It's not free, but there's a trial version.
Hope this helps!

There is only free EDB to PST conversion tool is ExMerge utility, designed by Microsoft Inc. for Exchange Server 2000 and 2003 to export all the user's mailboxes to .pst files. After creating the .pst files,  you can merge these .pst files to user mailboxes to a newly created Priv1.edb file. The contents of  the public folder can also be moved in this manner.
