Hi all,

I have Exchange 2007 SP1 installed. It works fine on receiving emails except Gmail. I tried different Gmail accounts. I can receive a email from some of the Gmail accounts but not all. I login to Gmail accounts that I cannot get the email from Exchange. It doesn't have any email bound-back. How can I fix the issue.

Daniel.

If message tracking shows the message as being delivered to the Gmail servers then it is almost impossible to answer your question. The message is being blocked inside Gmail's network. The most you can do is ensure that the server is setup correctly, with a valid DNS, reverse DNS and the FQDN is set correctly on the Send Connector.

Simon.

That is the SMTP log.
What does Message Tracking say?

Simon.

Message tracking is enabled by default. You can access the Message Tracking system and query the logs in the Toolbox.

The problem is when I send a email from Gmail. I can see the Gmail server talk to my Exchange Server from SMTP log. After

,>,354 Start mail input; end with <CRLF>.<CRLF>,
,-,,Remote

The Email is not save to the mailbox. Nornally I should have something like this:-

,>,354 Start mail input; end with <CRLF>.<CRLF>,
,>,250 2.6.0 A3D23EA03963CB47BAD1A5C41A47013D8B2AF@gmail.com
,<,QUIT,
,>,221 2.0.0 Service closing transmission channel,
,-,,Local

go thus Message Tracking, it doesn't even in it.

Other emails can go to the mailbox without any problem (only Gmail).

I misread the question as sending email to Gmail, not receiving.

Until the message is delivered to your server message tracking will not see it.
Therefore you will have to go through the server carefully and disable any antispam options. Look at any third party tools that could be interfering with the traffic, SMTP filtering on the firewall etc.

Simon.

Are you using third party tools or built in tools for antispam ?
If it is third party then it must be removed to confirm it is not the cause. Ditto for any AV software. Disabling it is not enough.

No... not addition software. Just Exchange 2007 installed.

Some of the Gmail users can send email to Exchange and Exchange accept it not some Gmail users cannot. For example:-

abc@gmail.com can send an email to abc@exchange.com but not def@gamil.com
Also, if I using DynDNS/Mailhop, 30% of the mails disappear in the air even I disabled the antispam in DynDNS. I disabled the DynDNS/MailHop. Now, only the Gmail problem.

Are you using mailhop for inbound traffic, or just for outbound?
Alas I don't know what else to suggest - something is either blocking or interfering with the traffic.

Are you sure your ISP is not filtering your SMTP traffic?
