This is my first time working with exchange and I have 2010 RC1. I am trying to add a new exchange certificate and after going through the process and creating the request I take it to startssl.com and generate my free certificate.

When click Complete Pending Request and select the certificate everything appears to go find as I get two green check marks but I never get the Assign Services to Certificate option and the Complete Pending Request stays there. If I use the Complete Pending Request option again I get and error "cannot import certificate. A certificate with the thumbprint XXthumprintHERExx already exists.

Does anyone have any pointers on what I am doing wrong or how to get acces to the Assign Services to Certificate option.

Jeremy,

Did you ever resolve this?, I found that the certificate is installed, but there is no private key to match it if you did get it working, could you please post back.
