I am trying to do some testing on Exchange mailbox quotas. I have selected my account and gone to Mailbox Settings - Storage Quotas. I have unchecked the box “Use Mailbox Database defaults” and checked “issue warning at (KB)” and “Prohibit send at (KB)”. I have Issue warning set to 25 KB and Prohibit Send at 50 KB. My mailbox is 500mb. I am still able to send and I have not recieved a warning from my Outlook 2010 client. Is there someplace else these items need to be enabled for it to work on an individual mailbox?

It finally started working. It took about 5 hours before the changes actually took effect.
