I need to set a mailbox quota for some users on my Microsoft SBS 2003 server. Currently, there is no quota set and each of these users mailboxes is more than 3GB in size. I want to put a limit to the growth of these mailboxes to something like 3.5GB but the exchange server in Microsoft SBS 2003 is preventing me from doing this. It is coming up with this error:
The value for 'Prohibit send and receive at (KB)' is not valid. Specify a value from 0 through 2097151.

Please can somebody show me the way to accomplish this task.

The value should be in KB's. Convert the required value from GB to Kb and then apply it

Yes. I applied the values in KB. Infact, I typed in the value 3500000 there. Which after converting it, it should be approx. 3.5GB

It's a limit of the UI. Use another tool, like adsiedit or powershell to set quotas of any size: http://www.petri.co.il/setting_mailbox_limits_over_2gb.htm

(yes, I know this is an old thread, but it still ranks high in search results)
