Is that possible and how do you create �central� common calendar in Exchange 2007? Actually, we need few of them. One is for important company events and another one for temporary staff. Is this something to do with Public Folders?

There are a number of ways of doing it. One way with Exchange 2007 is with the use of Resource Scheduling. Step-by-step is here:

Thanks. A bit lost here. They talks about creating Room or Equipment mailboxes. All I need is just common calendar. Do you mean I have to create room (or equipment) mailbox first and then �share� it calendar for everyone to see?

If you plan on keep using Public Folders in your E2K7 organization, then yes you can create a Public Folder-based calendar (using ESM or an Outlook client). Just bear in mind that OWA 2007 cannot access Public Folders.

All company users are using MS-Outlook 2007. Because of this, public folders weren't installed during Exchange 2007 installations. I guess I have to look at what dloweqsc been suggesting - Resource Scheduling. Well, in my case I need to create calendar for important company events. Which of recourse scheduling mailboxes should I choose? Room or Equipment mailboxes?

Well Room Mailbox would seem like the right choice, but these two types of resource mailboxes are actually very similar they just show up as two different recipient type objects.

Could someone please confirm if I'm on the right track here? My goal is to create common company calendar for important events.
1.       Creating Room Mailbox with the name: "Company Calendar�
2.       Bob Smith will be the person who is responsible for calendar entry. I guess, I have to give him "full� access to Company Calendar mailbox. For all other users � view permission only.
3.       Connecting Bob Smith's Outlook 2007 to "Company Calendar�, so he can start enter new entries into "Company Calendar�.
4.       All other users can now connect to "Company Calendar� through Outlook 2007. Can this be automatically "pushed� to all users?
Is this the way to go? Please correct me. 50% of all users are using OWA. How OWA clients will see Company Calendar?

Does anyone have any other idea about how to view shared calendar in OWA 2007?
IMHO, ability to easy create and easy maintain common shared calendars does not exist in Exchange 2007.

In order to open a shared calendar using OWA 2007, you must use the Open other mailbox feature in the top right corner of the OWA UI. This will open the respective mailbox in a new browser window.

You cannot view or manipulate a share calendar directly within your own OWA 2007.

Just create an AD account, attach a mailbox to it, assign permissions to that mailbox so another user can have full access to that mailbox, have them open the mailbox in their outlook profile, and have them open the calendar and assign Default Reviewer permissions. Now everyone can go to file > open > other user's folder > choose calendar, and they can search for that user. You can name that user accordingly, such as Company Calendar so it'll show in the GAL as Company Calendar. Other than that, you can just use public folder, go in as an Administrator and create a public folder calendar and allow everyone read access to it and specific people full/write access.

I created a room mailbox user, gave full permission to a specific group. Now, users that logon using https://mail.test.com/owa/e2k7user@test.com/?cmd=contents&f=calendar can view the shared calendar but the big problem is how to logoff? I mean, they are using their own credentials to be authenticated, then they are redirected to a shared calendar. So how does one logoff once done using the shared calendar? Thanks.
