Hi,

We are using windows 2008 R2 VSS backup in exchange 2010 database & logs. After taking the backup, it's not deleting the logs.

We are using database & logs are different location. How to clear old logs in exchange 2010.

What application are you using? Exchange 2010 on Windows Server 2008 R2 doesn't have an Exchange aware backup solution so all you're doing is taking crash-consistent backups. That means you don't actually have a backup. You should go and buy something to backup your server.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. We are planning to install HP Data Protector 6.11. But right now the log partition size was reached maximum. We need to clear old logs.

The windows Backup it will support to clear a logs.

Please advice for the same.
