How to prevent user double booking resources such as rooms at the same time in exchange server 2010 and outlook 2007-2010?

in addition not to get a decline message after sending the invitation then had to sent it again to all attendees.i already didnot select allow conflicting meeting requests.

how can I activate <resource name> is already booked for the specified time. You must use another time or find another resource.

When you book a resource you need to see if it's free. If it is free you will get an acceptance from the resource and then nobody else will be able to book it.

If you do not bother looking for availability then that's ok. If you are lucky you will get an acceptance and all is well. If you are unlucky then the resource will decline you. The meeting is still on, it just doesn't have a room yet. You then look for the room and update the meeting. If you are using Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010 and the recipients haven't opened the original meeting (the one with the wrong room) they will only see one invitation (the one with the new, right room). Exchange knows to substitute the initial request for a new request. If people have opened the meeting and accepted it they will see an Update meeting with the room change. They don't press accept or anything; the message just says "No response required"

That's the default behaviour so I guess the only thing I can see is that you didn't look for the room first.
