I am planning on installing a hub transport role server on my exisiting CAS2007 server.  My environment consists of Exchange2003 mailbox (2 connectors) and CAS server.

I noticed that on the Exchange2007 console, in Org. Config and Hub Transport, under Send Connectors, I am able to see the 2 connector along with 2 accepted domains.

Question:  If I install the Hub transport server..
               a) Do I need to remove the connectors from the Exchange2003?
               b) Do I need to configure the hub transport server afterwards
               c) Do I need to shutdown my exchange2003 box before installing Hub
                   Transport?
               d) Do I need to restart any of the servers?

Thanks.

hi mate,

For installing Hub server role with the co-existence of Exchange 2003.
Yes you can install it on CAS Server role itself.
It will create a receive connector but however you need to create a send connector.
You need suppress the link state information : recommend you to run Exbpa tool before you install this server role
Then you can redirect the mail laterly once you have done transition
you can see lots of article on transition from exchange 2003 to exchange 2007 which will also help you alot
