I want to run two hyper-v hosts initially and implement MBX, and CAS/HT servers on them.

I was hoping to setup DAG between the two MBX servers for resilience. I have seen various MS articles which are slightly confusing as to the supported nature of this.

CAn someone confirm that it is supported to run the following:

Hyper-V Host Server1
   Exch 2010 MBX1 (DAG Member)
   Exch 2010 CAS/HT1

Hyper-V Host Server2
   Exch 2010 MBX2  (DAG Member)
   Exch 2010 CAS/HT2

Exch 2010 UM Server
Windows 2008 NLB Server

The confusion seems to come from the clustering support for Hypet-V and DAG , I dont want to run shared storage, live migrations , Hyper-v cluser etc.

At a later date I would like to add a third DAG member offsite.

Thanks for any advice

You can deploy an Exchange DAG on a Hyper-V cluster as long as you do not use live migration/automatic failover etc for these VM's.

About the Windows 2008 NLB, this is not supported on DAG members. If you would like to use NLB to create a HA client access server array then install this role on a seperate server.
