Well, I dont know that I broke it, but its kind of broke. Its broken in a really funny way, because its actually still working. Let me explain. I have a server, running windows 2000 server. Im running exchange 5.5. I need to add in an email account. However, a strange thing happens. I add in all the information i can, and then try to create a new windows nt account for it, but im told that i do not have permission. Additionally, if i try to alter an existing email account, like mine for example, i get the following error. Access was denied when trying to contact the Windows NT domain controller. Microsoft Exchange Administrator ID no: c1031029 In addition, where the form says "Primary Windows NT Account", it says '\Unknown' altho all of the existing accounts do actually work. The domain controller IS the server on which exchange is sat. There was one new user start in the office, and that user is not able to log on to the network, so she is currently logging in as admin, and is able to access her email account from there, but its not ideal. She is the only one who experiences problems, other than the problems experienced on the server directly. So to be honest, its not especially helpful, and i do suspect that an account has been removed or a setting has been changed on exchange to make this happen, but not a clue where to start looking. Googling hasnt been of much joy, except to confirm my suspicions that upgrading the server right now when this issue exists (something we are planning to do SOON), is not a good idea, because it wont actually fix the problem. Please help... if you can!
