Exchange 2000 information store does not automatically start after a server reboot.  We get the 'service failed to start message'

However, once booted, we can go into the Services control panel and start it with no problems.

I've seen this before, and basically the premis is that we think it is starting too early, and may be dependant on another service?  Is there some way to set it's startup lower on the list of services to start?

Or this this a completely different problem?

Thanks,

-Tim

We see this with customers all the time. One day it just won't start period. You might want to look at the transaction logs and see if there are any issues there either with antivirus or disk space. Back your stuff up now!

My company has a great Exchange backup tool. It is called the Exchange Recovery Backup System and allows users to have instant access to their mail with Exchange working or not. http://www.erbsystem.com is the site to find out more. If your priv is corrupt our exchange data recovery service can help you out.

If anyone has any questions or ever needs support call 727-642-5521 anytime.
