Installation problems - 7.Jul.2000 12:24:00 PM

I am recieving an error when I install Exchange 5.5 on a Winnt Server with Sp4. The first error I recieve says... The command lodctr dsactrs.ini failed, returning an error code of 32. The second error says... Processing file D:\server\setup\I386\server.ins', An internal component has failed Microsoft Exchange Server setup ID No: c103798a. The Third error says An internal componet has failed: Microsoft Exchange Server Setup Id No: C103798a

I would really appreciate any insight on this problem, Thankyou.

The source directory mentioned in your posting, d:\server\... is that a CDROM drive or a drive/partition? There is the possibility if a CDROM that the CDROM is bad or if a drive that the file, server.ins, is bad or is on a bad sector. That file is a rather important file for the installation.

*Update* I found an article on Microsofts website that corrected my problem. If you are interested it is Article # q265870
