I have a lot of exchange 2007 mailboxes backed up to tape.
My organization has moved to exchange 2010 and we do not have an exchange 2007 box left to restore and read the backups from.
(we don't want the ongoing effort of mananging a 2007 exchange box just for this purpose)

The solution I am looking for is a software application that mimics Exchange 2007.
I want to be able to plug my tape backup into a box with this software application on it.
And use the software to simulate a mail store and read mailboxes.

Does Microsoft or another 3rd party provide this solution?
(We are a security company and cannot keep sensitive data in a cloud we don�t physically manage.)
