Hey everyone.

I'm new to forums and new to exchange. I just set up an exchange server and I ran in to a couple problems. First of all, I have anonymous access to my receive connectors enabled because with it off, no one can receive emails. I have two connectors. One for port 25, the other for 587. When I tried removing anonymous access, I couldn't send an email from an external account to someone on the server, in a panic I quickly changed this when I realized it so I didn't try sending from an account on the server to another account on the server. I don't want anonymous access to my receive connectors, as I believe doing so will allow the server to act as an open relay server once I get the second issue resolved.

The second issue is that anyone connecting to the server via IMAP/POP3 can not send email through SMTP on the server without being part of the administrators security group.

Please help! It's working right now, but I don't want it set up this way and am completely out of ideas since I am completely new to Exchange. I just ran through a crash course before installing it, because it needed to be done right away.

Thanks alot!!!
