Hi,

First of all I tried LCR on a local didk, and it works liek a dream, does the initial seed, goes to healthy, and it all looks wonderfull.

I then thought, lets make this slightly more sensible, and tried it on a fileshare (Windows 2003 in the same domain), and it goes to, and stays at, broken.

It creates a copy of the mailbox file, and creates a seeder.txt file, but doesn't do anything else...

I thought it could be a permissions isue, so I've given 'everyone' full access but I still get the same results.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

Unfortunately LCR doesn't support remote file shares, you're limited to usíng a set of disks locally on the Exchange 2007 server (also includes SAN, NAS etc.). I too was of the impression this feature would support remote file shares during the Beta 1 phase, but unfortunately not

Hi Henrik,

Yeah, I had interpreted NAS to mean SMB/CIFS, but I've now found some other descriptions that say NAS with iSCSI.

iSCSI is a _subset_ of the various NAS technologies, it would be nice if the documentation referred to iSCSI rather than NAS...

Cheers

Arne
