I currently have a Public Folder in our Exchange 2007 system named Payroll that I have mail enabled.  I'm trying to get the external mail sent with certain keywords sent directly to the public folder.  IE if joe@outsidedomain.com sends an email with the word Payroll in the subject line to employee1@mydomain.com , that email is automatically routed (I though by a transport rule) to the Payroll Public Folder.  I have tried creating a transport rule, but when I get to the "redirect the message" step the public folder is not listed.  Unfortunately, I just moved and my Configuring Exchange 2007 book is in a box somewhere.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

PFs are, by default, hidden from the GAL. Change the properties of it and you'll see it listed.

Do you mean unchecking the "Hide from Exchange address lists" box?  Because I've done that, but the folder still doesn't show up (I've waited a few days after making the change).  If you're talking about other permissions, could you be a little more specific?  I've been away from Exchange 2007 for almost a year, so I'm a little rusty. If that's the only box I need to uncheck, perhaps there is another underlying problem.

Thanks again

Yeah, I see that as well.  Your request was one of those you don't come across every day. Create a mailbox, set the forwarder to the PF, have things delivered to that PF. That works.

Ok thanks.  I was thinking of doing that, but I thought there would be a more direct way.

Thanks
Scott
