Hi,
I have 5 exchange servers in 2 locations

location 1
town1ex01 (CAS/HUB/MBX)
town1ex02(CAS/HUB/MBX)

location 2
town2ex01 (CAS)
town2ex02 (C/H/M)
town2ex03 (C/H/M)
town2ex04 (Edge)

I tested for 2 users whose mailbox is in town2ex02, and their CAS server is town2ex01.

When they sent mails to outside the mail flow goes through:

user1: town2ex02 -> town2ex01 -> town2ex04 -> Internet

User2: town2ex02 -> town1ex01 -> town2ex04 -> Internet

My question is, both users are in same mailbox server and using same CAS server, still the mail flow took different paths. For user2, the mail went to another location server and came back again to his location server and went out.

Pls can anybody tell me, how the mail flow/ routing takes place in exchange 2010''

Hi Dear,

Can u provide more details, it the users are the same active directory sites & also define how did you define your cas whether you define the round robin or what.
