After the updates were installed to windows this week, we had to restart the server and exchange failed. It turned out that it didn't mount the main mailbox. How worried should I be?

I mounted it and it works now but I'm just worried because this is an important server. Also, I did a disk check, and it reported errors. Should I repair the disk? I've had some issues with that in the past with other computers so I thought I would ask.

Hiya chap - sometimes Exchange databases might not mount on a reboot - however it is rare. A couple of things concern me about you post;

Where you say that you did a "disk check" and it reported errors - what errors were they? - also was this the disk with the Exchange databases one them.

What is being reported in the System and Application event logs.
