Hi,

I have a disaster when someone in my organisation, by mistake deleted E00.log file from C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\MDBDATA and none of my mailbox stores are mounting.

In the evt viewer i am getting msges like these:

A) Information Store (6012) First Storage Group: Error -1811 (0xfffff8ed) occurred while opening logfile C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\mdbdata\E00.log.

B) Error Current log file missing starting Storage Group /DC=om/DC=kr/CN=Configuration/CN=Services/CN=Microsoft Exchange/CN=krccs/CN=Administrative Groups/CN=First Administrative Group/CN=Servers/CN=EXCHSRV/CN=InformationStore/CN=First Storage Group on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store.
Storage Group - Initialization of Jet failed.

How can I mount the stores???? Is it possible by any means?

Please help.!!!

Rgds
Vik.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
I tried everything but then could not succed in mouting the store.
While I ran eseutil /mh it didnot allow access to the store files. gave error no 1811.

I created a new store and recreated the mailboxes for the users.
Is there any way to retrive the old mails from the old store files. I do have  priv1.edb and pub1.edb files intact.

Thanks in advance
Vik

To extract data from a dismounted database, you would need a tool such as Powercontrols from Ontracks.

Exchange Server error -1811 corresponds to JET_errFileNotFound. This error may occur due to mismatching signature in log file. Due to this issue the information store might not mount even if the database is consistent. To sort out this problem, you may read this KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896143#1
If above said solution doesn't help, it is better to opt for an advanced Exchange database recovery software to solve the problem. One of the best and globally used application can be got from here: http://www.recover-computerdata.com/exchange-server-recovery.html

This tool effectively repair and rebuild the corrupt or damaged database files. The repaired database file can me mounted directly on the Server.
