We are planning on moving one of our storage groups to a new network share.

Can anyone please tell me what will happen to any msgs addressed to users on this SG while the db is unavailable during the move?  Will they be held on hub server until the mail server's db becomes available?

Thanks in advance to all-----------

You cannot move to a network share.

In case you have a terminology issue and are really moving from one disk to another or between LUNs on the same or different SANs:
Messages will be held on an HT pending the appropriate store being mounted.

Hi,

Yes we can move it. but which exchagne you are using.
Let me tell you with Exchagne 2007, it is possible to put database on shared storage.

It's important that the OP doesn't confuse "Network Share" with "Shared Storage".
You can put anything Exchange related on Shared Storage but that shared storage must either be what is conventionally understood in clustering terms or a SAN. Exchange 2007 does not support any NAS (i.e. CIFS share) It must be block protocol.
