Hi there,

We are in the process of moving our exchange 2003 cluster environment (two server active/passive cluster) to new hardware and new SAN. We have the new servers and new SAN in place. What would be the best way to move to the new environment with minimum downtime?

Please advise.

Bring the new cluster environment up in existing Exchange org, so both Exchange clusters will coexist, then move mailboxes to new server.

Hi,

Create another Exchange Virtual Server [EVS-02] with [ New Node 1 and New Node 2] added to the same Exchange Organization.

Let the New Cluster Leverage the SAN for it's storage.

Move the Mailboxes and Retire the old Node1 and Node2.

Does anybody know of a write up where they detail moving a active/passive cluster to new hardware. I was wondering if you could just add the two new server to the cluster and then remove the two old ones.

Thank you!
