Good afternoon,

Wonder if anyone could help me pout with the following setup.

I am running a single windows domain (say motherdomain.com) which all users
log into. On top of this domain we also own another 2 internet domains (say
daughter1.com and daughter2.com). What I am trying to do is allow people to
be able to send and receive emails in all 3 of these domains. I have tried
configuring the connector on Exchange 2000, but when the emails are send
with the connector, the header says, SoAndSo@motherdomain.com on behalf of
SoAndSo@daughter1.com. What I want is to be able to send emails without the
"on behalf of" from all 3 domains (i.e. SoAndSo@motherdomain.com,
SoAndSo@daughterdomain1.com and SoAndSo@daughterdomain2.com). Would anyone
have any information on how I go about this? Do I have to set up those
domains in my active directory? If so, how would I go about it?

Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Martin

To setup multiple domains, follow Q289833 - XIMS: How to Receive Messages for Two SMTP Domains

Configure the SMTP Virtual Server to the Default Settings - Q266686 - XCON: How to Configure a SMTP Virtual Server Part 1

Delete any Connectors that are there!

Thanks for the info. I will have a read today to see if that satisfies our requirements. I have already set up connectors, but when I try to send email as, say Support@abc.com, it sends it as martinm@abc2.com on behalf of support@abc.com. Unfortunately that wont do, as we need to be able to send email straight from each domain without the "on behalf of". Hopefully your suggestion will sort this problem, going to have a read now. Thanks again

Martin

If you are receiving mail from all SMTP doamins, you are getting there.

You mentioned, "Unfortunately that wont do, as we need to be able to send email straight from each domain without the "on behalf of", Try setting the users default SMTP Mail address to the domain address you want to send as. This is under Users and Computers, User account, Email Accounts tab (Not sure the name) Choose the SMTP address you want as the primanry and click the Set As Primary Button. Apply and then test to see that it send from this SMTP address.

I hope this helps.

Unfortunatelly that wont do. If I did that I would spend whole day changing users emails from one domain to another. (basically people need to beable to send emails from all 3 domains most of the time). Sigh. There gotta be a way to do this. Thansk for the help though. [Frown]

Make the change in the users recipient policy.

Nope, that wont do it eighter.

I can specify someones domain and email adress name, but during the day they need to send emails without the "on behalf of" from all 3 domains. If I did it that way, I would have to keep changing it during the day.

Thanks though

You will need a combination of these two articles:

Greetings all, THIS REALLY CAN MAKE YOU EASY MONEY! IT WORKS ! BUT YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW IT TO A LETTER FOR IT TO WORK! :

A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroup, just like you are now and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $5.00! So I thought, "Yeah, right, this must be a scam", but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $5.00 to the top name and address stated in the article. You then place your own name and address in the bottom of the list at #3, and post the article in at least 200 newsgroups (There are thousands) . No catch, that was it. So after thinking it over, and talking to few people first, I thought about trying it.

I figured what have I got to lose except 1 stamp and $5.00, right? Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it. So I checked it out with the U.S. Post Office (1-800-725-2161) and they confirmed that it is indeed legal! Then I invested the measly $5.00. Well GUESS WHAT!?. Within 7 days, I started getting money in the mail! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about $25.00. By the end second week I had made a total over $500.00! In the third week I had over $3,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $8,000.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. Its certainly worth $5.00, and 1 stamp, I have spent more than that on the lottery! Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works. Also, make sure you print a copy of this article NOW, so you can get the information off of it as you need it.

STEP 1: Get 1 separate pieces of paper and write the following on each piece of paper "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST." Now get 1 US $5.00 bill and place it inside the envelope with the piece of paper so the bill will not be seen through the envelope to prevent thievery. Next, place one paper in each stating the above phrase, your name and address, and a $5.00 bill. What you are doing is creating a service by this. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL! Mail the envelope to the following addresses: #1)Neal Gjovik 5196 Gray Ln #c Las Vegas Nv. 89119 2)L. Jolin 481 Washington Street, Fond du Lac, WI 54937 #3) Terrie Rideout 1111 N. Lamb #174 Las Vegas Nv 89110

STEP 2: Now take the #1 name off the list that you see above, move the other names up (3 becomes 2, 2 becomes 1, etc,,,) and add YOUR Name as number 3 on the list. STEP 3: Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at least 200 newsgroups, message board. (I think there are close to 100,000 groups) All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money you make!---- DIRECTIONS----HOW TO POST TO NEWSGROUPS, MESSAGE BOARD----------Step 1) You do not need to re-type this entire letter to do your own posting. Simply put your cursor at the beginning of this letter and drag your cursor to the bottom of this document, and select 'copy' from the edit menu (or press ctrl-C. Then to paste it press ctrl-V. )

STEP 2: Start making money .

Another thing to keep in mind is: hundred of thousands of people are joining the internet and reading these articles everyday! JUST LIKE YOU ARE NOW! THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK!
