Hi,

I have a customer who keeps receiving the below NDR

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
Me@MyCompany.co.uk
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
host myisp.com [xxx.xxx.xx.xxx]: 554 Unable to process
message:
msg.1195552525.594425.30323 - error: recipient:
Me@MyCompany.co.uk failed, reason:
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx failed after I sent the message. Remote host said:
554 Transaction failed

I have been advised to activate full logging,
http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Logging_the_SMTP_Service.html
so I did and I can see an entry in the logs against the customer email address but the only thing that looks different to emails that are coming through is in the cs-method column there is no DATA but what does it mean? or how can do i interperate the logs.
i.e.
EHLO host1.myisp.com
MAIL  customer@HisCompany.com

RCPT Me@MyCompany.com
QUIT  host1.myisp.com
EHLO host2.myisp.com
MAIL  customer@HisCompany.com
RCPT Me@MyCompany.com
QUIT  host2.myisp.com

Help Please?

looking into this problem further I found that on the Virtual SMTP Server >General> Advanced tab there was screen with TCP25 Filter enabled. After disabling the filter I found the emails came through OK.

I have enabled the filter to try and see why the server is rejecting the mail.

On the Global Settings Message Delivery Properties I have Archieved filter emails checked and found the emails sent to a Mailroot\Vsi\Filter file as a tmp file, which can be read in notepad etc.

I need to find out why the server was rejecting the email, as I have no filters enabled in  Filter messages that claim to be from the following senders.

Any help appreciated
