In an effort to move from mixed to native mode in Exchange 2000 I have followed all the steps Microsoft offers to remove the last Exchange 5.5 server from the site but I still cannot delete the Site Replication Services. When I try it says that the SRS server is still a bridgehead server. When I change the view on the SRS's in Exchange System Manager I still see directory replication connectors but they do not show up anywhere else. I am trying to find a way to delete the SRS's so I can move forward to Native Mode.

KNB 272314 states you need to remove the Directory Replication connectors. This is done from the E55 Admin tool. Hope this helps...

Thanks for your suggestion. I did delete them through the 5.5 admin originally and still no luck.

Bring up your E55 Admin program and look again. They must still be there. Did you possibly delete the ADNAutoDRC connector by mistake? How many sites and how many directory replication connectors are in your organization?

The function of the SRS is simply to act as a directory replication emulator in E2K - performing the same functions as the directory replication connector in E55 does - just from the E2K side.

Hi, I think you must do all SRS deletion tasks logged with Exchange 5.5 service account, or logged by one account with Service Account Admin privileges at Organization, Site and configuration Levels (viewing by Ex55 admin tool).

You can review all permissions at these levels too.

Good luck!
