Hi All,

Does anyone know of a solution for a spell checker issue in OWA2003? When attempting the spell check the program displays it is checking but then after the check is done a message, "The spelling in this item can't be checked. Try again later".

Has anyone run into this issue?

Does this error occour when your accessing OWA from a machine that isn't part of your network? If so, its an old error that dates all the way back to Exchange 2000, and one that isn't fixed by default in Exchange 2003. Some exchange virtual directory (that contains the spelling component) uses intergrated windows authentication, so computers which are part of the AD domain and access it fine. However, computers that are not logging onto your network (external computers), produce the error, even though the user has entered their details and can access their messages.

Try working through this. Your particular problem is under "Additional error messages" and then "Error Message 2"

I have the same issue zoey. I went through the info that Under linked to but still have the problem. The weird thing for me is that it does not happen to all users (nor all pcs). I can log on to a different PC with an account that is having the prob and it will work fine. Not sure if yours is working this way, but my prob almost seems machine specific.
