Hi there, i have setup an Exchange 2003 server, which is working fine. What i would like to do is configure OWA for employees to access outwith the network. i should not point out that i have never worked with SSL or encryption stuff....baring that in mind, can anyone point me in the right direction of a guide that could help? step by Step style? I have found one that said go to freeSSL.com and buy a certificate, but i am a bit confused as to what name i should put on the certificate? we have out website hosted externally, but if i give it mail.domain.com and the Certificate setup the same in 2003, will that work? i would really appreciate the help. Jamie

Hi, Update : After a bit of snooping about on this excellent site! I have found and will follow this guide : http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/SSL_Enabling_OWA_2003.html QUESTION 1 : The only question i have is if our website domain, www.accommodate-edinburgh.com is hosted externally, if i create a DNS record on the server for mail.accommodate-edinburgh.com and point it to my router's external IP address, it should work (after i open prots on the router and point it to the internal IP address of the exchange server) Is that right ? QUESTION 2 : I got all this from this post : http://forums.msexchange.org/m_170193800/tm.htm If i follow this post above, will it work for me? Thanks for any help, as i know this must be an annoying re-post! Jamie

For anyone out there who is interested..... I am trying to install SSL to enable OWA from outside the company network. I have posted a few guides i was going to follow, but have a complication : I have installed Sharepoint Services as our intranet on the same server, but obviously cannot activate the default website and configure it for the certificate as port 80 is in use with Sharepoint. i changed the port to 81, will this work?? Thanks Jamie
