I recently changed the certificate on our 2003 OWA from a self signed to a Godaddy.com, as far as im aware this is all working. OWA is configured to use SSL and forms based authentication.
The problem i am having is that whenever i browse to our url mail.domain.com, it is giving me two login prompts, the non forms based pop up, which i must enter domain\username and password into, and then it will come up with the forms based login box. This is absolutely driving me mad as i have spent days trying to figure out why.
I have gone down the route of recreating all the exchange virtual directories, recreating SSL and reconfiguring the forms based auth but this hasnt helped.
I am sure i must have a permissions problem somewhere in IIS but im completely at a loss as to where this could be.
I would really appreciate some help with this if someone could spare the time
I too am having this problem but it exists in this scenario. My FBA works fine when VPN'end into the network or on the local LAN of the server. My double login occurs when I go through a Cisco PIX doing NAT. Inside works fine on FBA. Outside has double login of Integrated Windows Authentication, then FBA. Check your inside connection to your server and see if you go straight to FBA. There is something to do with the firewall doing this and perhaps the security of the Cert? I dont know. I just posted a new message today. Follow the thread for anyone providing useful pointers.
Edited:
My mistake. Not a firewall issue. Still double authentication though. Thanks in advance for any clue you can provide as to fixing this. Have you?
