Brand new install of exchange 2007 running on windows 2003 x64. Owa will work all ok internally but not externally. I get the main screen to log on and then fails on https://mail.domain.co.uk/owa/auth/owaauth.dll just keep getting http 400 bad request. This is a new install and the only things I have changed are opening ports 443 and 25 inbound. Also altered owa external address to be https://mail.domain.co.uk/owa. The domain name internally is different so is internal.local. Really cannot see what is the matter with this ?

Hi,
This is logical because the parameter will ensure that the certificate is not checked. So the issue is caused by the certificate. Do you use a self-signed certificate ? If so then buy a commercial certificate.

Hi,
OK and has the customer also got a self-signed certificate running on it ? I found some issues where the certificate is the issue and reinstalling it fixed the issue.
yes it is due for the 1 year soon hence looking at this. Is this an issue where the internal and external domains are different. For speed I was going to renew the self cert and then look at getting a comercial cert later. For renewing the cert can you send me any links......
This error (HTTP 400 Bad Request) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the web server, but the webpage could not be found because of a problem with the address. For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.
Yes working in firefox all ok apart from having a paddy about the certifcate was only valid from the server and server.xxx.local (internal Domain name ). How weird ???????????
I am using Https and not http. This is really weird that this is a new install but will try this from another machine now ?

Many thanks for your help although adding to the trusted sites gave no joy I decided to delete all cookies, password, historys and web forms etc etc and now working on the same machine ?????????
