Greetings, I have a windows exchange 2003 and 2 days ago changed the internal IP address (10.0.1.19 to 10.0.1.49) on the server due to a conflict and ever since webmail is not available. It use to work great before the change. I have my public IP address on my router forwarded to my exchange server IP address with ports 25,100,443 and 80 open. How can I get webmail to work? Please help?

Hi, Please start the IIS manager and have a look if no specific IP is assigned to the default website. You can check this by getting the properties of the default website and look if in the field IP address an address is filled in. If you have then change this to the new one.

I did check and the new IP shows in. I selected it and still can't seem to lunch OWA. I have also restarted IIS.

Everything is clear on the logs. However when I typed https://servername/exchange the login screen come up. From the outside (public internet) typed https://webmail.dykonpc.com/exchange nothing happens. I know the external ports on the router are forwarded to my internal IP of the exchange server. What else could it be?

Hi, I just clicked on your link but it works without problems. I think you've tried from internal ? Some routers will not forward trafic then OK which causes the issue. I went to the site you mentioned and I got the page directly. So if you want to test it try it from another machine.

Jveldh, thank you very much for your help. My TCP port was closed on the router. Only UDP was enabled. I have one more question? I would like to install a certificate on my exchange server for my OWA. Do I need to download anything in order to accomplish that? Thanks again Theo

Theo, No you only have to request a 3rd party certificate and assign it to the default website in IIS.
