Hi,
We have 3 Exchange 2007 servers : 1 CAS + HT and 2 mailbox clustered servers
using SCC.
Recently we encountered some issues with our OWA. It is becoming slow and it keep kicking users out, meaning that even if you are access your emails from OWA, it will suddenly log you out and show the OWA logon screen again. This is despite the users selecting (the private computer option when logging on).
By default, selecting this option would allow the user to continuously access
OWA for 8 hours.
Please assist.

What is between the users and the internet? It sounds like the cookie is being cleared or blocked.

Hi Simon,
We only have a firewall and a switch. This happens to internal users as well.

It doesn't have to be the firewall at fault. It could be something installed on the server - AV software for example.
If you access the server using a machine that is not one of your builds (so doesn't have any of your AV, Antispam, Antimalware applications etc) does the same problem occur?
Something is interfering with the traffic or you have an issue with IIS somewhere.
Ultimately though I think you will have to take it to Microsoft so that they can look at the logs the server generates.

We are having same issue
eventhough we set the timeout to 60 minutes
getting kicked out in 3,5,10,15 minutes
did you ever get a satisfactory answer

Try recreating OWA/Exchange virtual directories using Powershell.

still occuring - we did rebuild the Virtual Directories
any other ideas guys?
times out between 1-15 minutes - varies
inside and outside network
Laptops, desktops, custome and standard builds
private and public options on OWA chosen
We can not seem to get past this - and u know who uses OWA the most - the upper level executives - oh boy

Something is interfering. Therefore you have to tear the machine apart - removing anything non standard.

check if there's any packets dropping off when the users accessing owa.
Is it also occurring internally via owa?
