We have Exchange 2003. We wanted to restrict our Domain users in AD from sending emails to certain Domains, so I did the following: 1) Created a Distribution List “Domain Block” 2) Add all Domain AD Users in this Distribution List. 3) Then Created a SMTP Connector, Named it “Email Block” 4) Added all Email Servers in the local Bridgeheads. 5) Added the SMTP Domain in Address Space: Example: “Aol.com” 6) Delivery Restriction Tab, Added: Distribution List “Domain Block” in the “Reject messages from:” It appears to work. Does anyone know if this is the correct procedure, or is there a better way ? In addition, the Domain AD user when sending an email to the rejected Domain, gets an NDR. Is there a way a copy of that email can be sent to another mailbox so authorized Domain users can view the email ? Thanks you for you help

You should have two SMTP connectors, one for regular outbound email and one to restrict the traffic. Otherwise the procedure you have followed appears to be correct. As for seeing a copy of the message - the most you can do is set the server to send a copy of ALL NDRs to a mailbox - which cannot be a public folder. Simon.
