Hello,
I have exchange 2003 sp2 on server 2003 rs sp2.

Since yesterday, outbound email has been delivering slowly or not at all, depending on the recipient domain.

I believe this is related to a user who mistakenly sent a mass-mail to a group of hundreds of outside customer with a 2.5mb attachment. Since then outbound mail has been a problem.

I have rebooted the server, deleted smtp temp tables, and i delete the mass-mail entries from the various smtp queues. but when i delete from the mass-mail entries from the various smtp queues they just come back. I find that when i freeze the queue that is the only way to prevent them from coming back.
Is there a way to permanently delete these mails from the outbound queues so they don't come back? Also lots of legitimate mail is being queued up because of this, how can i force these legitimate mails to send?
